hi im pregnant with my second child im 11 weeks just gone and when i had my midwife appointment to book scan and have bloods i mentioned that i hadn't felt as sick with this pregnancy.she replyed its always a worry until you see the heartbeat. i am now really concerned and i have a doppler machine and i tried to find the heartbeat and can't find it which is probably because it so early ... would just like to hear if any one else has different pregnancies to put my mind at rest really... i have my scan next week just am really nervous!!

i was never as sick with my first as what i am this time around. I had maybe two soild weeks of being sick everyday - this time around 2 days of not being sick has been a blessing....

Different babies, different lifestyles, different pregnancies. All the way through ive compared this pg to my last one, but i have to keep reminding myself im different from what i was that time.

I really wish MW's would think before they say things sometimes... 9 times out of 10 its always a thought in the back of your head, but you don't need to be told it!!! :wall:

I wasn't as sick in mysecond pregnancy either. It was a really easy pregnancy (until the SPD kicked in later on  ). Just as well with a toddler running around!

FWIW I didn't hear lo's heartbeat until later this time either and it turned out I had an anterior placenta which is why. It's natural to worry in every pregnancy though

Could well be because you are carrying a different sex this time. My work colleague had this, morning sickness with one pregnancy and not with the other. She believe this was the reason why. I didn't get morning sickness with Ellie, and so far I haven't had any sickness this time round..... but there is still time. I Am praying it stays away

thanks everyone that helps... midwifes prob don't think before they say things sometimes!!! i had a little girl first Ellie who is now 2 (last thursday) i suppose everyone worries until you have the scan just got to try and forget bout it for a week and try not to worry ... i wil be 12 weeks on friday so im hoping its just a different pregnancy so different feelings as i do still have symptoms and i seem to of got big quicker this time aswell!! i will let you all know how it goes thanks again xx

hiya hun try not to worry this pregnancy is completly different to when i carried Thomas, with him i suffered from everything but this time i havent even got so much as a sore boob yet all is fine with baby

xx

i am constantly comparing this pregnancy to both my others, one of which i lost and the other was perfect and healthy. i must say this one feels much more like the first one (healthy one) and not at all like the miscarriage, but still they are all unique and this one has differences already to the first one- early symptoms with the first were more sore boobs and sickness- this time its more tiredness and FREAKISHLY superhuman sense of smell! my boobs arent sore at all! (not yet anyway, i may rue these words soon LOL)

try not to panic  if its really bothering u tho could u not book an early reassurance scan? xx

This is how my 5 pregnancys have gone & are going:
I was really sick with my first pregnancy, with number 2 i was not sick at all, number 3 & 4 a little bit sick & with this one i have been much more sick than with 3 & 4 but not quite as much as with my first. All pregnancys are different so try not to worry
