Difference between raw vegetables and cold pressed unpasteurized juices? Worried!

Hi,

Does anyone know the difference between raw vegetables and cold pressed juices? I am confused why unpasteurized juice is so much worse. I consumed a juice cleanse and am now fairly worried, as I had a friend had two miscarriages due to listeria. However, I am getting confused by all the foods that cannot be eaten.

Are unpasteurized juices that dangerous? And is it that they *could* cause a problem or is it quite likely?
