Did you think your baby was beautiful straight after birth?

I thought Mhairi was the most beautiful baby I'd ever seen from the moment I laid eyes on her.

I kept asking my mum "She's gorgeous, but is it just me that thinks that? She REALLY is gorgeous ISN'T SHE?!?!?!" like I needed confirmation!

my first view of Seren was after she had crowned. them mw said look and as I looked down I just saw this little head poking out of me (weird feeling), and she was all purple. However I thought she was the most beautiful thing I had ever see, until I gave birth to Cally and thought she was also the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.

However looking back I can see they were a bit battered and bruised, and Seren had a funny head and brusisng due to trying to come out with the wrong part of her head first but they are still the most beautiful babies ever to me (looking at these is making me so emotional)

Cally was very swollen after birth as she had come out too fast

I didn't with paris I didn't even want to dress her. Was different with Harry he was born straight onto me and we bonded straight away

Cause I had low water I was worried Ella would come out all dry and wrinkly..but it wasn't THAT low

I've never admitted this to anyone before but I didn't think she was beautiful when she came out, I didn't even want to hold her. She was delivered onto my chest but she was whisked away really quickly so I didn't have much time, then when they brought her back I told them to give her to OH..I kept saying it over and over and the Doctor was looking at me like

Then they took her away again cause she was crying weirdly and they gave her oxygen so I never really got to bond with her in those first few hours, I just kept thinking 'She's not mine!'

I remember thinking Maddison was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen but a few months later when I looked back on photos of her as a newborn she looked like a wee alien This was Maddison on day she was born and a couple of days later...my wee alien!

When willow was first born she looked like a pixie as the tops of her ears were folded down and i remember thinking i hope they dont stay like that, but she is the most georgeous little girl with lovely olive skin (im not jealous ) now.

she was 10lb 4oz born at 35+5 and she had breathing difficulties and low blood sugar and had to be tube fed

I thought Jess was the most beautiful baby ever and that all the other mums were jealous of her She was loverly but a bit funny looking as a baby looking back!
When Aimee was born I though 'she's not as pretty as Jess was' but that soon passed as her swelling went down (difficult birth) and I thought she was the most beautiful thing ever.
When Nathan was born I just seen a nose! I was massive and it took him a few months to grow into his features but now everyone comments on what a looker he is

it's those cheeks - must be a big baby thing - Lydia had the same cheeks and she was 10lbs 10oz (she wasn't a preemie though, she was 18 days overdue)

I really did think she was the most beautiful baby in the world when she was born

Alex was MUCH more battered and bruised. I didn't instantly think he was gorgeous, but I didn't think he was ugly either. I just thought he looked like he'd been through the wars!

He's very cute now though of course

i have to say i thought luke was gorgeous from day 1 and the second i saw him and he was so tiny only 4lb 4oz. this was the first pic we could get as he was whisked away to scbu as he was cold and apgar was low

Harley was born looking beautiful dark hair olive skin and perfect, But dior did look a bit different lol she was very bold and tiny and boney but she was 5 weeks earl so il cut her some slack

When James was born all I thought was "oh - my - god look at the size of him!!!!!!" And all I remember hearing was one of the nursing saying "my god hes a Monster!!!"

He was all puffy and rigid cos he was crying and he had his arms up in the air in a muscle man pose and he just looked GINORMOUS!! Combined with that his head was all a funny shape as they had t opull him out with forceps (even though it was a C section - yes he was THAT big!)

But the next day when his swelling went down I thought he was the most gorgeous little baby I had ever seen...and I still do.
