Jacob and I went to a netmums meetup! It was okay, I guess... I don't know if I will go again, but I am happy I finally did something! Does anyone know of any other groups like Netmums I can try out? I have looked at the local mother and baby groups, but they all meet during compulsory classes right now, which is a shame. I was referred to baby massage and haven't heard back... I called the health visitor and they didn't help- they just said it is a long waiting list, even though I know people who got in and were referred after me. Oh, well!

Apart from Netmums, I know you'll have a local NCT group you could get involved in....or one of the PF meet up's the girls here seem to organise? If your just looking for activities (like the baby massage) there are loads, Gymbabes (like Tumble Tots but for younger kiddies), swimming lessons, music bus, baby signing, toddler groups, mum & baby groups (your HV should be able to recommend names/contact points for local toddler groups or mum & baby groups). Depends what you want your LO involved in and bear in mind costs for all these groups/classes (esp, when some want a whole term's fee's up front before the start of the term etc it can be a big lay out but cheaper than paying per week etc). Do you have a magazine called "Family Grapevine" in you area (again HV could advise) it's free normally in like doctors offices, hospitals etc, it lists all these types of things http://www.thefamilygrapevine.co.uk/ worth checking out! xx
