I remember turning to Ali on the night Tom was born and saying 'Oh God, he looks a bit weird don't you think' and Ali looked at me like I was the devil.
The other day he admitted he was thinking the same thing.
Tom was so massive when he was born he was like a spectacle at the hospital. All the nurses were coming for a look at our little circus freak!
Everything settled down though and now I think he's super-handsome! xx

i didnt and i hate admitting it

the MW put melissa on my chest, and i felt protective love for her, but i looked at her face and it looked a bit squashed and pink and her eyes were bulgey i thought she looked like a frog! i remember thinking, "oh i was expecting her to be much cuter, im worried he (my boyf) wont like her"

the MW said to me "oh, she's beautiful!" and i said "do u think?!"

and i asked my boyf for reassurance "do u think she's cute?" waiting for him to pause or go "errm" but he didnt, he instantly smiled this huge grin and gushed "yes!" and thats the moment when the "rush" hit me i think. i started looking at her and thinking "aww, she IS gorgeous actually" after that.

i wish i'd seen it straight away coz that girl is the most beautiful thing i have ever seen in my life and i dont kno how i couldve not thought so i feel evil for it!

When he was first born I thought he was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I wasn't so sure the next day as he was a bit puffy for a few days but by the time he was a week old he was a stunner again. I still think he's a cutey now.

hannah was the same hun because she was 10lb 4oz prem i had everyone in to look at her it was like a freak show

I was expecting her to have a funny shaped head but exclaimed something along the lines of "her head is so round!" about 10 seconds after she came out. I was more shocked about the sudden burst of colour - she went from grey to pink in a matter of seconds and that was well freaky!

I was at the baby clinic last week and met a girl I knew vaguely from school who had a baby boy the same day as me - he was 11lb 15oz at birth . He is now a very toddler-esque 17lb!!

I thought LO was gorgeous, but she had loads of black hair on her shoulders and back so I thought I had given birth to an ape!!!

Luckily, MW said that the hair would fall off and it has!

I thought Willow was beautiful from the word go. It was great ebcause I'd been worried I'd think she was ugly. But she wasn't, her skin was so rosy and soft and crinkly, like a little petal.

My worst fear was she'd take after me! When i was born my mum admitted to covering my face with a blanket when she took me out. My hospital photo is hidden at the back of the album!
But when she was born the very 1st thing i said was "Aww, she's not ugly!" Lol Something my OH will keep reminding me of!

The first thing I said when I saw Dan was 'what's wrong with his head?'
It looked all cone shaped!
It wasn't until I was alone in the ward with him a few hours later that I couldn't believe how gorgeous he was. He was so tiny and perfect.
And now I just think he's the cutest kid ever, of cousre I'm a tad bias!!

i thought he was beautiful and amazing at the time- i couldn't stop staring at him for weeks and weeks...but i hate looking at photos of him on the day he was born now, i think he looks like a squashed alien

I remember looking at Jack when he was placed on my chest - I burst into tears and looked at OH and just said OMG he's so beautiful I can't believe it. OH cried too.. only time I have seen him cry and he also gushed how beautiful he was

I was surprised at how lovely Finn looked at birth! He wasn't all wrinkled and squashed like newborns tend to be I am biased though.

The first thing I said was 'yuck' but that was more at the blood and gunk I think.

She was rather battered and bruised and I remember saying when my mum said she's gorgeous 'she's a bit funny looking but to me she is perfect' and that's how I saw her, squashed and battered but to me she was perfect.

And had a load of gunk and blood stuck to the top of his head

I was surprised how clean Angel was. She had a little bit of gunk in her hair and on her head but other than that not as messy as i thought. And she wasn't all wrinkly either. And didn't cry for about 2 hours.

lil miss was covered in vernix...but once they had cleaned that off, weighed her. popped her under the heat lamp, she was surprisingly bright eyed and not at all squashed looking like Tia had been... although Tia had been unceremoniously evicted...

She hasn't changed much tbh

Angel had a couple of red marks on her face but i didn't have chance to take any 1st born pics. My labour came so quick i didn't have time to get my bag/camera out the car.

She's an hour old here. They took her off me as soon as she was fed as she couldn't control her temperature. She's snuggled up with her hot water bottle and several blankets! Wish i got loadsa cuddles but i wasn't aloud!
