Did it feel like period was coming as you approach labour?

I dont think labour is starting or anything, but I have been having that feeling like when AF was due to arrive. I keep getting Twinges, leg cramps etc, I have also had stronger Braxton Hicks over the past few days...is this whats supposed to happen around this time??

Could this be a sign that baby could arrive a tad earlier or is this supposed to happen in the final leg of pregnancy??

I've been feeling like that for a couple weeks now. Backache, period pains and BH's are a daily occurance. At first I hoped it meant something was happening, but it seems to be body getting ready and can last weeks
