Did I test too late?

Hi guys,

Apologies for the possibly stupid question but....I'm on CD17 of a 29 day cycle. I've never used OPKs before but after having really bad bloating and cramps CD 15 and 16, I decided to use my internet cheapies and see what they said. I tested yesterday and today (CD16 and 17) at the same time after about 4 hours as suggested, but there's not even the vaguest whiff of a line. My question is, how soon after you OV would you usually expect the line to disappear, ie, did I use the OPKs too late? I realise everyone's different so was just looking for a general idea. I'll do the OPKs for a few more days just incase, but with the amount of cramps I had Monday and Tuesday, I would imagine I ov'd one of those days.

Next month I'll start them much earlier!

My opks show 2 lines on cd10 and 11 for a 28 day cycle
once the lines on there it doesnt go away x

I would like to know the answer to this also. I know i have ov but would like to know if when you have your surge and it shows on a opk then you try another test the next day will it still show or will there be nothing showing up due to the fact that i had my surge the day before? Really hope this makes sense lol
