hello lovely tri 3 mummies to be

i've just been looking into maternity/pre natal fitness classes. there are a few in my area which recommend joining after 10 weeks. i'm thinking of joining one after my 12 week scan but do feel a little apprehensive.

what did you ladies do?? xx

Erm...if eating a load of rubbish and lounging around a lot counts as exercise then yes, I did loads. If not then....erm...the answer is no.

I'm crap and no help.

xx

:) You're welcome for my unhelpful, unfit response! I've been tired throughout. That's my excuse and I'm sticking with it...

xx

Same as Wish, am using the excuse of being too tired throughout!! Although I've never been too tired to lift a slice of cake up to my mouth repeatedly!!

i excersice my fingers on my right hand doing lots of click whilst being on here does that count?? oh and the frequent walking up and down the stairs for my loo breaks :) other than that nah im lazy lol

You're a wise woman Roo!

xx

does lifting food to mouth count?? lol

Id go for it hun - i wish i had done! I stopped all exercise when i got pregnant and almost 4 stone later i regret it so much!! x

Do it.

I'm with Cherelle, 4 stone later and literally hating myself for letting myself go. It's just all too easy to justify.

haha thanks ladies, eating can take a lot of energy..i think you should all feel very proud!!! ;)

OK, so far no one lol!! hmmm, i was hoping someone was going to say they done it and have literally gained the weight of the baby.........wishful naive thinking maybe!! i didn't do much excersize before i was preggers so lets see how good i am now!!
xxx

I said my the OH - if we have another baby one day i am making sure i stay fit and active the whole way through, i really think it makes a big difference to how you feel. SPD does render it a bit impossible though x

i was jogging etc up until I got a bleed at 12-13 weeks which was on and off for four weeks, didn't do anything inbetween that because i was scared it would make it worse and the miwifes just kept telling me to see how i get on. anyway after we found out what it was i tried to get back into it ( I was 17 weeks by then) but it was just too hard, since then i have just excerised my fingers and mouth.. haha. did do lots of walking for a wee while but even now im like sod it I will just start over after the baby is here. hehe. ifyou feel up for it you should defo go for it, i feel yuk coz im just sitting about all day!

Just general running round after my lil lad, up n down stairs for loo lol

I've been to the baths a few times with son but as for exercise nope not for me,......

I couldn't think of anything worse, only thing I'd suggest is if u didn't do much exercise b4 don't over do it x x x x n good luck x

the only exercise I did was walking up the fridge for food and going for wee, walking up the stair for good night sleep... I know its allot loooooolz..but I try my best to do allot of walking... since they say its good exercise...babe, better to enjoy your pregnancy and leave all exercise for later...pushing the pram everywhere you go will loose few pounds so put your feet up and relax I would say.

I've did no exercise at all. Unless waling around a shopping centre once or twice a week counts lol.
I don't regret it either, its our chance to chill out and not feel guilty about eating. I've put on 2 stone which I think is ok. If you can't do it when pregnant then when can you.
I wish I had the motivation to exercise when pregnant though so if you feel upto it then go for it xx

 I just hike it up the side of a mountain 2-3 times a week now...am busted after todays hike though  It takes 2hrs in all to get up there, a few stops cos my breathing is cack since being pregnant, then back down again.

Was gona go to a pregnant aqua aerobics class but they don't take you if you have a low placenta, which I have...don't know why. I did a few pregnancy yoga classes which were great, but the instructor moved venues and its too hard for me to get to now so its just the hikes :) x

Oh and I walk my doggies twice a day for between 45-60 minutes each time...but when I do the hike they come with me and that counts as one of their two walks. I've put on 2 stone still and extra blub on my legs and ass...and I do try to eat sort of good...minus the cream buns, choc bars, sweeties...flip if only I could cut out the junk I reckon my legs and ass would have stayed the same. Ah well  x

I got told only do what your body is used to doing. Don't overdo it...i haven't done any exercise hence piling on the pounds lol! I would definitely wait til after 12 week though. xxx

Yep, I'd wait until after week 12 also. x

i haven't done any specific exercises, but i have to walk everywhere, as i don't drive! and no-one else in my house drives either! i walk to the shops and carry all the food back, though i don't think i'll be doin it much longer! i'm also on my feet all day at work, walking backwards and forwards to the stock room ect!

i think it all depends on who the pregnancy is effecting you, and what your job involves! i've put on a stone and a half so far, but i've still got 12 weeks to pile on the pounds! good luck though xxx
