dianette- shaunie!!!

has anyone else ever been on dianette? has it screwed up ur af after coming off it? just wondered whether it was just me!! if so how long ago did u come off i/ how have ur cycles been?
seem to remember shaunie louise has ben on it/ am i right?

I was on it for only three months and it managed to really screw me up, but it's tough to know whether it was all the b/c or more to do with the pcos -

I was on it for about 6 years if not more, didnt have any problems with it. I stopped taking it early last year, af was normal straight away and we got pregnant by October so probably about 6 months after coming off the pill.

thanks people. i'm just rtying to work out whether its just normal for them to be this irregualr as the gp insists or whether it has nothing to do with the pill and there is an underlying problem e.g pcos. i know i'll find out answers soon from scan but i'm a bit impatient!!

yes I think it messed my cycles up for ages - doctor disagreed though! Eventually cycle settled back down, I got pregnant and now have a 3 month old baby. I know I had a good outcome in the end but I would never go back on it! Good luck x

how long would u say it was until u were regular again? i'm 8 months off it now!! no way would i go back on it either- miss the good skin though!!

Years ago my doctor actually took me off them because they messed up my cycles so badly- I was bleeding every 10-14 days- thought I was going to bleed to death!
It continued for about six months after I came off them.

I'd say near enough a year (only about 7 or 8 periods though) but it's probably different for everyone. Once I was having regular periods I got pregnant in 3 months(and yes, I know what you mean about the skin - that's why I was on it in the first place)! I hope you get some answers soon x

I was on dianette for about 6 years and stopped taking it about 5 & half years ago. As far as I remember my cycles was regular but ever 40 days and then after 4 months they went to 28 days.

i was on it for 2 years and it was the best pill i'd ever been on to be honest no problems at all.

I had no problems with Dianette. It was great for my skin.

thanks girls for the replies. i loved it whilst i was on it- great skin, regular periods just a few migraines. its since i came off it i've had problems. my periods were fine before but now 3 af in 8 months. sounds like its probably just my hormones etc rather than dianette in particular then- hopefully will get some results soon. thanks again!
