Dexter.....

Does anyone else like it, or does it remind you of serial killers or certain characters from your childhood lol?

This is the name I love the most. Hubby isn't quite so keen, but neither of us has come up with something alternative that feels as good. His big brother is Zachary and I think it would pair nicely.

I was also thinking of William as a second name and the two go so nicely together. Dexter William. Looks nice written down too lol.

I like Dexter, but it reminds me of Dexter the serial killer from the Tv series so puts me off slightly!! Seems a very popular name at the moment! X

I love this name but I used it on my cat because I couldn't see myself using it for a child.. But now I can haha
So regretting it..
I always shorten it to Dex because it just flows.
I did watch Dexter but loved the series so wouldn't put me off

I LOVE Dexter but it reminds hubby of a serial killer so he wont allow it. But I think its a great name. Although tbh the reason I love it is cuz im a wee bit in love with the serial killer.

I like it, heard it a couple of times now, but nowhere near as much as other boys names: there are 4 Harrys in my son's class of only 22 kids!

i think of serial killer if im honest, but im a big reader and love the books so maybe thats it. but yeah i think of the serial killler character

That's why my hubby isn't so keen lol, he remembers that damn character!

It's so hard to find a name we both like that doesn't have anything already attached to it, arghhh!

Dexter will stay top of my list unless hubby comes up with something better though lol.

This was to be my boys name. So I love it. I've never seen The tv show tho. When I told my family our choices every single person hated it and said they hoped I had a girl (I did) yet my friends all thought it was great.

I would have stuck with it though and if I have a boy in the future it would be the no1 choice. But thats unlikely.

I think its cool, now and a wee bit different. Xx

I never really used to like it as it just reminded me of Dexter's Lab which was a cartoon that was on when I was a kid but it has grown on me over the years. I think it's a really strong, great name. I know a guy who's about 18 called Dexter and is SO clever and ambitious and I think it really really suits him!

Love Dexter! Don't worry about the serial killer bit if I was having a boy he would have been a Freddie - even though I've nicknamed my Nan's OH Fred (due to the fact he's the spitting image of Fred West!) so don't let that put you off! Xx
