I was on the pill since i was 14 up until being 19 (5 years) then because of my heavy periods i had the contraceptive implant (the one that is supposed to stay inside your arm for 3 years) for 1 year. I had this took out as i put on so much weight.I then went on Depo for about a year and then back on pill for a few months.
I have been contraceptive free for 2 years and 1 month now.

I used to have the depo after i had my daughter was on it for 9 months n it took me 3 years to concieve, they say thats how long it takes to get completley out of ur system anyway xx

I used to work with a girl who fell pg after accidently missing an injection, so don't give up hope. Good luck!
I had my last depo in Jan 05, got my periods back in the June, started TTC in the october and got pg that month. Had a mc unfortunately but was pg again in the february and had my lovely little girl in November 06. So dont worry - I think it varies from person to person. I had another depo in Feb this year but havent had my next one as I want to TTC at the end of summer. No AF as yet so hope it doesnt take too long, then I can get cracking again!

I mc'd myself while I was taking the depo 6 years ago (just over). Didn't know I was prg at the time, not until it was too late, and I have had af since coming off that and then off the pill too (took that when I came off depo in the NY) so maybe there's a change after all!

I was very impatitant too and had many months wondering whether the damned AF was guna show or not. I cant rememember how i got through it all either, i guess you just do. Its not nice obsessing over having a baby

i was on the depo for 4 years and i came off it in may 06 and fell pg in march 07 but m/c in may am trying again id never go back on it though

I keep hoping that maybe I wont have to wait too long. I came off the depo and went onto the pillbefore christmas, then came off that. This was all on the docs recommendatio, and he has always been a great doc. Been off the pill for almost 2 months, had AF last month (4 days later than it would have been on the pill, but there all the same).
Dunno if this was a REAL AF - you know, if I actually released an egg or not - and I'm still not sure how long my cycles are yet. I have no idea how to tell if I am having real AF or not, or even if I can tell.
It's all very confusing and I'd give anything to be preg now. I loved the depo when I was on it, never had any problems while taking it, always said I'd use it again when I had my family and probably will, but I hate to think that it will take so long to get out of my system!

I was DEPO for years 9aged 16-24, came off and spent a year using condoms, hoping to get the injection out of my system before TTC. Decided to start trying in July and got positive pregnancy test 1st September. Baby Ben is now 4 weeks old.
My friend was TTC for 2 1/2 years after coming off DEPO. But she may have had to wait that long without DEPO. Everyone is different, just go with the flow and enjoy trying!!

I was on the depo for 18 months and didn;t hae a period for 8 months and was contraceptive free for a year and nothing, so went back on the pill. Now off it again with new partner
