hi guys

Well, one of my none-filled teeth (not many good uns left) has cracked, it is not sore but it could get that way so I got a dentist appointment for this thursday at 2pm.

I will need to leave my home at 12.30 as the bus is 1/1/2 hours if not more to Edinburgh, I will then need to hangaround waiting to be seen as it is a drop-in time. I then thought it would be great to meet my work friends a male and a female for food,drinks/coffee as my OH has his worknight anyway and is getting picked up by his Dad at 9.30.

Ok, that is 9 hours out of my house....with the starts of SPD/Sciatica and pretty regular braxton hicks, my OH has said no...he is not happy with me being in Edinburgh all that time with no-where to lie down or to go if I don't feel too well.

Bugger.....this means a whole day alone and a whole night alone....I'm getting pretty bored of nesting, reading, cleaning, I miss company but where I live is pretty far for Edinburgh and my old social life.

What would you guys do, would you just risk it and tell your OH you are going anyhow or is this selfish and silly, he has promised he will get his dad, brother or himself to drive me to the dentist next week and one of them will wait then take me straight home.

What would you do?
xx

if you can get an appt next week I'd do it then- wish my OH was as caring!

I think its lovely your OH is so concerned :)

I think you have to decide for yourself. If a lot of the time is going to be spent sitting down (on public transport etc) then it might be more manageable then he thinks. But should you struggle or get tired its a long way to come home or to wait for someone to come get you.

Your tooth should be fine till next week anyways. Just make sure to brush well, use some mouthwash and not chew on that side.

I'd probably wait till next week and have OH drive me if it were me. And plan a social visit also and try to have a bit of you time if you can. Maybe not on the same day but if you want to catch up with a few people why not :)

If you're feeling well enough go for it! It's pretty unlikely baby would pop out now. It will probably do you the world of good to get out of the house for a few hours and see some old friends

Other half wasn't happy !!!! I cancelled!

To be honest 9 hours would have killed me as my back, hip and inner thighs have just started to really hurt, (my ball is the only thing I can sit on for long) I am going to try and see them another day when I can get a lift and not have to sit around so long.

I lost my nerve and didn't go to baby group today either, when I have had her I think I will be able to.

Thanks for the advice thox
