Rach- I haven't been as crampy this pregnancy but I remember it lasting until about 7 weeks in my other pregnancies.

Hi all,

Good news - I finally have a hospital appointment for next Friday! I was referred to the only obstetrics/hypothyroidism specialist at my hospital, and my appointment is with her and another specialist - apparently they run a joint clinic! To appointments is definitely better than none.

I also feel very reassured since I last posted. Unfortunately when I originally got my blood test results from my GP surgery the admin person misinterpreted my hormone levels, which made them sound much more dangerous than they actually are. I have now learned my lesson and I just call and request a telephone appointment with my brilliant GP.

Next week is also my first midwife appointment so it will seem much more real.

I also have a question for all of you...do any of you talk to unborn baby in your head?!

Perhaps I am bonkers but I just started doing it about a week or so, it's not really deliberate, it just happens in my inner dialogue. It's hard not to feel a bond even at this early stage.

I have been doing my head in trying to work out why my dates don't seem to make sense and finally worked out I wrote down my LMP on the wrong week! So that makes my due date the week before, December 27th! I really couldn't work out why it wasn't making sense to me. I hadn't been paying much attention to my cycle as we were not TTC and thought there was 0 chance this month so hadn't picked up on my mistake before. I couldn't work out why I was convinced I was late for af when I got my bfp but my dates were saying I wasn't. Plus my lines were too dark to be that early. So that really does make me officially a December mummy. Somehow I couldn't shake the idea that I must be further along that I thought!
 
Hi everyone, I’m new to this!

I am due 25th December with my first. I havent really had any sickness or any other symptoms apart from really bad cramps all week. I normally suffer with quite bad period pains as it is, but wondered if this was normal.. I was hoping it would only last a a couple of days but it has gone on slightly longer and I’m a bit worried!!
 
Hey Stephx !! A proper Xmas baby YIPEEEEE !!!! Congratulations and welcome to our thread !! Don't worry about cramps honey, honestly, its normal, I have cramps on and off all the time, this and extreme thirst are the only symptoms I ever get and this is my 3d pregnancy. Last week for 2 days I had proper period like cramps, very intense, plus had spotting again. Yes ladies I am back on spotting. But guess what ? yesterday I went for a scan, and ..... saw 1 little baby, 1 little flickering heart beat...I am getting so excited now!! will post a pic in a minute ... Was measured 7 weeks, so 1 day behind my own calculations, and everything else looked good. can't recommend it enough, I was really freaking out before, all this spotting is so nerve wrecking. Anyways, pic to follow in a minute. We went to Window to the Womb, it was 79 pounds, it wasn't a very detailed scan to be honest, super quick, you could see they don't like to spend too much time on you lol, but they did what they needed to do, and it was brilliant for me.
Kelly, any news from you? I am really hoping that everything went wonderfully at your scan too, and you are just too excited to find time for writing here, keeping all my fingers and toes crossed that we will see a lovely little pic here during this weekend Xxxxxxx

Went to the epu today as had some bleeding in the middle of the night.

Very pleased to say that I too have a healthy bean with a lovely little heartbeat!!

Squee!!
 
Hopeful and wolmama I am very pleased for you both. Must have been such a good feeling seeing your little baby! Hope it's put your minds at rest..

Bleeding was all brown and has stopped now so I'm happy. They couldn't see anything wrong on the screen so must just be a cervix irritation or something.

Hopeful, so glad you've seen your bean too! Hopefully I'll get my picture up today.

I was even put forward a day in dates.

I’m spotting brown now. Absolutely losing it with panic.
