******December Mummies 2018******

WolfMamma, I have panicked about that very same thing every pregnancy (this one included). I have days like today when I've puked in the sink by 8am and then days where I feel 100% normal. It is actually very rare (from my experience, and talking to other women) for symptoms to be consistent day-to-day. I've only known a couple women who felt horrible every day for the entire first trimester. It's uncomfortable, but it's reassuring. Bunny is exactly right, that's what makes the first trimester so awful is you can't win. If you feel like garbage at least it's reassuring, but then you feel like garbage. if you feel ok you can't enjoy it cause you get doom and gloom about what that means. I was reassured 45 minutes ago when I was puking in the sink but now I feel totally normal so I'm scared again. Yeah. You can't win. And also, yeah - it's 100% normal!

My exhaustion and irritability could be entirely down to not having caffeine so even that doesn't "count" for me when I have it. It's all a waiting game and a mind f**k. At least we're all in it together.

Rach have a great appointment! Hope you love the midwife.

I've had this for the last 5 days, sickness! I know what you mean it's reassurance in a way but it's so draining.. I've been prescribed anti sickness tablets tonight from GP as it's affecting work!

Well I have my booking appointment with the midwife tomoro so I'm excited for that. I have been so irritable this day every person in work was just annoying me for no reason lol. Gone off my normal sandwiches I have and am wanting to eat everything around me but don't no what I want lol. Hope everyone is doing well

Have a great appointment tomorrow! How exciting how far are you now?

Thanks hoping it doesn't take ages lol. I'm 5+5 today roll on two weeks so I can hopefully see a wee heartbeat

Hi all,

Would you mind adding me, my due date is Dec 7th. Could anyone advise what we do after the dating scan if the EDD is revised at that point? Do we just post here again to get it updated?

I'm feeling a bit concerned today. My GP told me a week and a half ago that she would refer me to an endocrinologist as I have hypothyroidism. No appointment materialised so I chased it with the surgery and they told me they had referred me to the Obstetrics Dept, I spoke to them and they said they would pass the info on to the Midwife at the Hospital and ask her to call me back. She either didn't call back or couldn't get through to me. I read online that if you have hypothyroidism you should up your dosage as soon as you know you're pregnant and I'm currently on the lowest dosage possible. I don't know how I'm supposed to get a new prescription if I can't see or speak to anyone. I'm going to call my GP surgery tomorrow and see if I can get a telephone appointment with my GP.

Sorry, I didn't mean to rant - I just feel worried right now.

I'm really looking forward to being part of this community and I wish everyone here a happy and healthy nine months!

Welcome to the December mummies thread I hope u get sorted with your medication tomoro. Feel free to rant anytime u want that's y we r here lol

Hope everyone is doing ok! I've had extremely sore boobs over the last couple of days and felt nauseated this morning. Almost 2 weeks to go until first scan!! Is anyone considering doing the Harmony test?

I’ve got my early scan on Friday!!!! Eeeek I’m so excited and nervous at the same time cause I’ve had 6 miscarriages in the past so quite scared. Wish me luck xxx

Thanks honey been getting a few twinges this afternoon so a little nervous xx

I'm sat here feeling pretty crampy myself. I'm hoping it's just babby stretching its tiny legs :)

That's exciting Kelly! I hope your scan goes well! I never did an early scan with any of my other pregnancies but was toying with the idea this time. Last pregnancy I was so ill from the hg I couldn't go and do my scan until over 13 weeks. If the same happens again it would be nice to have a little preview :).

Hey AllyBally, I'm with you on the sore front! We are going to do the harmony test, we are going to buy the package that includes viability scan, harmony scan and nuchal test- through the fetal medicine centre.

Those who are having early scans, where are you having them done? FMC had great recommendations if you're near London. We'll be finding out for ourselves this time next week!

Good luck Kelly. I am having tons of cramps too, it is definitely normal, I’ve had them with all my pregnancies.

Good luck Kelly, can't wait to see picture !!! How exciting!!! Also have cramps and had them last time with my daughter.Keep us updated Xxxx

Hey honey welcome !!! .. How very worrying for you and how irresponsible on their behalf !! Ridiculous. Defiantly make that call, and express how much anxiety its giving you. Let us know how it went honey, good luck !!!xx

Morning sickness has slowed right down now to just the occasional growl. Still worried about it but can't change it.

Going to chase the midwives up today as I want to talk to someone about my dates, there is some confusion on my side!

Hope everyone else is ok today.

WolfMamma, I feel 100% normal today too, good even. I went to a 6am exercise class and it was great and I’ve felt great ever since, which of course I can’t enjoy because it’s terrifying. So I’m right there with you today.

Of course as soon as I said that I got up, dry heaved, then went to eat my food that I'd just warmed up and was STARVING for... ate 2 bites, they tasted weird, and I put it away. So I guess it's just the exercise class that helped my energy so much.

WolfMamma, I know it's hard. Symptoms are unpredictable. They are unreliable. They don't mean anything. Remember it's not the symptoms or lack of symptoms that are making you upset, it's your thoughts around them. And your thoughts don't mean anything. There are good days and bad days, that's all there is to it. Some women feel like utter garbage for the entire first trimester (or for their entire pregnancies for that matter), but mostly it's that simple; there are good days and bad days. The first trimester is just hard, hard, hard.

The nausea has truly ramped up for me today. No urge to vomit but a constant queasy feeling. Last night shift for me tonight then need to start getting ready for NYC on Monday!! Looking forward to a nice distraction from the scan wait. Hope everyone is feeling ok xx
