Hi girls,

I got my Day 21 (or day 20 in my case as my average cycle length is 27 days) blood results. My progesterone levels were 31.5 nmol/l and I'm wondering if anyone knows whether this means I did or didn't ovulate? I'm having difficulty working this out so any information is appreciated.

Thank you and good luck everyone x

My clinic class anything over 30 as ovulation good enough to conceive.

Based on that I would say yes.

My best ever result was 35, I was a bit disappointed it sounded low when compared to some other people who seem to get much higher numbers but apparently that is fine! I have a 7 month old so must be right.

Thank you snowbee. I was also feeling a bit disappointed as I thought mine was quite low compared to others. I had seen some women say on other forums that their day 21 levels were in the 40s, 50s and one was even in the 60s! You've put my mind at rest though so thanks again. Also congratulations on your little one! :)

I wonder if some people just naturally have higher progesterone levels? I've had mine tested twice, once when I definitely wasn't pregnant and got a result of 60.8 and once when I definitely was pregnant, taken a couple of days before AF was due so very early, and the result was 83.8. I've always been told anything over 30 is fine. So long as you're getting a high enough result to show ovulation, which you did, I think it's fine. When you do fall pregnant you could always get the level tested very early on if you're worried, at least it's something that can be easily boosted with medication. Good luck!

I’m in the same boat ivejust had my reaults and they are 47.8 and I don’t really know what that means either
