Progesterone levels.. ? anyone understand these?/

Hi Ladies

I picked up my 21 day blood results from my GP yesterday. They showed on the 21 day blood test that my PL was 36.5Nmol/L which apparently indicates i did ovulate the month the blood test was taken.

Is this good? can anyone tell me whether this reading is okay? I do not understand it at all, plus i never ever get a strong line on my OPK each month so i was suprised that the blood tst showed I had ovulated.

To give you an idea I actually l took the blood test on day 20 of my cycle mainly because it was a Friday and I could not get it done on a Staurday and I did not want to wait until Monday so it was not totally on day 21. Does this matter??

umm have a look at this link i think it says as long as levels > 15ml then its normal
if yours are 36.5 then thats good but id check with gps?
it shoudl say on your notes if this is high low or normal??

Thanks it just says (more than 30) found following ovulation. ????

The one I hade done on day 3 of my cycle shows

Serum LH level 4.2 u/L
Serum FSH 5.1u/L

AMH level is nearly 19.

Hi, the 21day bloods - were they done on 7dpo? some gps dont get it that it is called a day21 test becasue it is assumed women have a 28day cycle and ov on day14 making day21 the peak day. if you ov before or after day 21 the test isnt accurate.

OMG, that is so annoying. My gp told me to get the test done on cd3 and cd21. What a waste of time! I am beyond fed up! How can one gp advise on that yet another gp advise something else? god knows how many other girls are being told the same.

i know!! the onyl reason i know this is becaseu i had the same question - Think my doctor is wrong about timing of 21day bloods - help!

and the fab ladies in LTTTC were able to advise me. See if you can make an appt with another gp and get them done properly. good luck.
