....I am slightly anemic so I have been prescribed iron tablets. Black poo and constipation for me now for the next 6 weeks. Sigh.

Ha ha you can be in my club. I've been having black poos for weeks now.

You can join me too, although I take them a bit infrequently now ! as I got too bunged up with the black poo! ha

When do you take yours? I have to take mine twice daily, but not allowed to take it with tea or milk... So that rules out breakfast!

Hopefull that I won't get any of the side effects!

I take mine first thing with fruit jiuce instead, supposed to be three times a day, but I only take one every 3 days now or can't take them.

You could change to lunchtime/ snack time with a carton of juice if you wanted to stick to normal breakie, I find shredies the best cereal for keeping regular!

Same here hun, constripated to hell since being on them. Sucks but I do feel better and hopefully you will too :) xx

Thing is I don't feel any different! I am naturally very pale, so that's one symptom out the window! Lol

the only thing I've noticed is that I can't be arsed to cook in the evening now.... Too lazy. So maybe that's my form or tiredness?!

They don't affect me like that anymore, have had an iron deficiency since I was 3 though! But really been suffering though the pregnancy!
XxX

Yeah I've been on 3 a day for a while now, black poo galore! Definitely not constipated either, seems to have gone the other way!
It's the only thing I'm worried about in labour now, I would've been *sort of* fine with pooing myself, but now it's messy black tar (tmi!), I'm really scared cos it's so icky!!
