Customer Compliance Officer Has Just Been Round

I had a letter about a Customer Compliance Officer needing to come and see me, shes just been round and asked me some questions about me and my partners living arrangements as someone has phoned the 'hotline' and made a complaint against me!!
I cant believe it its bugging me who did this as i can only think of 1 person and they happen to be 1 of my best friends as shes always asking me about when im going to move out etc but i really dont know if she would actually phone them about it?? It wouldnt be anyone my OH knows as she didnt even know his last name so the person who 'supposedly phoned' cant know my OH very well.
Do you think i should ask my mate about it or do you think they just said there was a query and that someone phoned up about me to see what id say, they said its anonymous so she couldnt say who it was but asked if i thought i knew who it would be?
Im feeling quite upset to be honest as we havent done anything wrong and it feels hurtful that someone who knows me would phone up and cause me this stress.

Dont worry too much about it, it could have been anyone and probably the person you least expect so I wouldnt say to your friend. It could be someone you dont even know, you would be surprised the things people get up to because they have nothing better to do.

Thanks for your reply lauramumof2 i guess your right it could be anyone really and i doubt she would admit it even if it was my friend. Just one of them things i guess, my OH is really annoyed though as his sure its going to have been my friend as they dont get on at all.. well im sure he'll cool off abit by later x

They might just of said that as an excuse, if you claim benefits they might just be checking to make sure your circumstances havent changed.

Thanks JollyPops, i did wonder if they had maybe said that to give a more 'valid' reason for coming to my house etc, by the way how are you doing? Hope your OH and little Calum are doing ok, have seen the pics of him his a little cutie x

They are sneeky little people!!! Dont have a go at the friend just incase he/she didnt phone!
We are doing fab thanks babes, but just wona bring him home arrrgh...wont be to much longer though i hope

No i chose not to say anything to my friend as you say it might not have been her and it would be wrong of me to accuse her, i was just really hurt that someone could have phoned up about us and felt abit paranoid i think!
Aww im so glad your all doing well then hun, im sure he'll be home and in his own little bed before you know it Cant wait to see more piccys of him soon, i loved the 1 where your OH is having skin on skin with Calum really lovely x
