Had my first antenatal class last night, and we were discussing tips for bringing on labour, and she confirmed that sperm is the number one trigger! However she wasn't sure it would work iof taken orally as the stomach acid kills the sperm instantly and absorbes the chemical bit that does the job, so she said stick to *ahem* "normal" sex!

I did indeed, but due to the stomach acids etc she didn't think it would work. Don't worry, i didn't stand up and blurt it out in front of the whole group, i discreetly took her aside to ask!

I wont be telling DH about the oral part or he will be expecting one every day past 37 weeks will give both ago when it comes to it though might as well make the most of it being just the two of us and having the time for lots of fun I intend to make the most of the excuse for lots of sex!

Yes it is true, several of the pessaries that they may induce you with contain pig sperm as an ingredient, hence my reason for refusing induction, luckily both mine were early!!!!!

if you read it it says that taking the sperm orally may work better, i bet a man wrote this

Alternatively, giving your partner oral sex may work better. It is thought that prostaglandins are absorbed more efficiently through the gut than through the vagina
