So do the fitted moses basket sheets also fit cribs?

No they dont - moses basket is much smaller than a swinging crib.

Oh ok.
Its a shame they dont do crib bedding on asda as that would be great.
It seems to be quite a selective thing.
Like not all the stores seem to sell crib bedding.

Sorry for all the questions guys.
So Iv already bought moses basket bedding and also cot bedding (witch I now assume will be too big for the crib).
Seen as Iv got 3 sleeping bags for Jamie as Iv heard there good so he wont kick of the covers.
Is all I need to get for the crib about x2 fitted crib sheets?
Or do I put a blanket over him aswell when hes in a sleeping bag in his crib?

To be honest, you could use the cot sheets on the crib, just double it over.

Also, babies can go from the moses basket straight into the cot, so you dont really need the crib :)

if it was cold I would always pop a blanket over Cally in her crib. I would just get some sheets and perhaps some cellular blankets - I have had loads of blankets and have always found them the best type.

Yeah i no but the cribs for in the bedroom from when hes first born at night and the moses baskets for downstairs for daytime naps :)
So I shouldnt get any fitted sheets for the crib then, i should just use the crib ones on it?

I've got a crib too and have got sleeping bag, i've only got 2x fitted sheets for it and some lining/mini head bumper for round the edge, gonna try the bear minimum before its cot time!

I bought a crib. Had 2 fitted sheets bought from mothercare, bumper from Babies r us, sleeping bag. This little lot cost me £100 and was only used for 6 weeks as she wouldn't sleep in it and went straight into her cot :wall: .

For downstairs I had a travel cot that she slept in during the day. I bought this as I knew I would get use out of it again for a few years and she wouldn't always be sleeping downstairs for naps. The travel cot has been handy while visitng relatives over Xmas as it folds up and planning on using again as a playpen when she starts crawling.

I personally wouldn't bother getting a moses and a crib as there'll be used for such a short amount of time.

Is that what im after, if I wanted to get fitted sheets for the crib?
It says they fit crib/pushchair. If they fit a pushchair I thought theyd be too small for a crib

Wasn't sure about the pushchair hing but then found some John Lewis crib sheets that say Crib/Pushchair so i think those you found sound about right: http://www.johnlewis.com/230229385/Product.aspx

Yeah I already bought them though
got both of them from the carboot for £7 each, really good condition.
Ones staying at my mums though for if I go to see her.
I Also got the crib at the carboot as well for £40.
Definatly wouldnt buy them brand new though as new moses baskets are like £50 new

Bargain. :cheer:

And you'll be able to sell them again when you're finished with them :D .

If you are planning to use sleeping bags bear in mind that most of them are only suitable for babies over 10lb so you will probably need a few blankets and sheets to begin with. As the others have said, don't buy loads though as you prob won't get that much use out of them. Have you looked in Primark or Matalan? They do raelly good value bedding etc and baby stuff too.

I dont like buying stuff from primark as Iv heard how they make there stock. Sweat shops in china or something.
We have a hugee matalan in yeovil but it only has a tiny area for nursery stuff...typical.
Iv just bought those x2 fitted crib sheets on ebay for £3.90 for 2 brand new.
jamie will probobly be in his moses basket all through the day anyway so I can keep an eye on him :)

Forgive me for posting ladies (i'm bored and have use of the laptop for a change :) )

One thing that was drummed into me by my OH when we got our secondhand cot was that it's vital to buy a brand new mattress for every sleeping area due to the possible link between old mattresses and cot death.

Wasn't sure if you were aware of that

I really wouldn't recommend having a moses basket and a crib, it's possible Jamie will refuse to sleep in either of them.
I had a moses basket for Logan and he used to scream whenever I put him in it, and if he was asleep he would wake up the minute I put him down. For the first few months he would only sleep on me during the day, and in bed with me at night! Luckily the moses basket was given to me because it was hardly used!

If you are having both I would just buy a couple fitted sheets for each, and if you're using grobags you can also use a cot sheet folded up in the moses basket or crib. It really is a waste of money buying full sets of bedding for each.

Babies normally outgrow the moses basket by 3 months and the crib by 6 months.

I would also recommend having new mattresses if you haven't already, just in case :)

Oh! and I forgot to say, there are some fab bargains to be had on ebay. I got my travel system brand new from an ebay shop for almost half the price it was in mothercare! :cheer:

LOVE ebay! :D
