I wish Riley would like jarred food occasionally :(

I grate it and add it to minced beef with a chopped onion, egg and a touch a flour and you have a lovely beefburger!

Slice it like a cucumber.

Same here, we used to grow them in an allotment :) Marrows are the same too... they're all from the same 'family' as cucumbers so you can eat them all the same and the skin's fine to eat.

And here's me mocking fran for sounding like a farmer

oooooo-arrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Good on you for doing home veg- Riley obviously has good taste lol, Im not against jars at all but home food is always nicer! :D

The others are right, no need to peel at all.

What is nice, though, is to use a veggie peeler to make very thin slices to put on pizza. I think that's yum.

Also, if you have any left over after making Riley's dinner and also happen to have some tomatoes, onions, aubergines and peppers then you could make ratatouille which is absolutely gorgeous.

Did you watch "Jamie At Home" tonight on Ch4? He was using some funny looking courgettes. And I didn't find the last recipe - fried courgette flowers - very appealing.
