cough/cold/sore throat pls help!

just wondering what i can take ???

i suffer badly when i get a cold normally, and i can feel it coming on, i normally dose myself up on sudofed and get on with it.

are any of the following ok...

cherry soothers throat lozenges
viks vaporub/ inhalers (not the spays )
olbas oil pastel thingys

hiya!!! i'm exactly like you atm!!!! got up yesterday very stuffy, with sore throat and runny nose....

cannot help in the medicin department as i'm taking nothing!!! just plain paracetamol when headache gets too much. i hate colds, i used to live for my Day and Night nurse, but cannot have it now so i think i will just suffer! i don't think my cold is in full yet, so not sure how i'll cope the next few days.

ive got it too had it for 3 days now and still feel like poop.

soothers/lockets/halls/tunes are ok

vicks/karvol are ok

honey and lemon syrup on shelf i tesco is ok

also a good one is airwaves chewing gum - clears u nose !

hope u get better soon ive got it bad so know how u feel

thanks girls im off to stock up on stuff tomorrow, the only throat sweets i like are the cherry ones never liked honey and lemon before, but after living in greece kinda got liking honey so will give it a go

saw doctor today hun and he told me it is around the chest but not an infection so he cant do anythin for me. he said he has seen so many patients with the same kinda virus and that it can last upto 5 weeks........5 fecking weeks - bloody hope not
