Cough and bleeding?

Hi ladies,

I had my baby almost 6 weeks ago now and the bleeding slowed within a few weeks and spotting has stopped completely in the last week or so. Today however I have small amounts of bright red blood sort of streaked in clear mucas (sorry if tmi). I have had a cold since Thursday which today has turned into a dry painful cough. Can the cough be causing this bleeding? Maybe cervical irritation or something perhaps? And should I see a doctor about it?
