Hi there,

I just want some second opinion really.

My DD is 9 and when we bought her cot from ToysRus we bought a much more expensive (£60ish) matteress from Mothercare. It's one with a washable/breathable cover. Since she last used it it's been in the loft wrapped in plastic.

I was planning to wash the cover and use the same mattress (unless it is manky when we get it out!)

If it looks okay do you think it is safe to use again?

A friend was asking whether we still had all DD's baby stuff and commented on only having to buy a new mattress.

Thoughts greatfully received!

Personally i would get a new mattress, lofts aren't the most of hygenic places even if its been well wrapped.
But then i'm bad for wanting to get new things like that and blankets

The advise is new matress for each baby..personally I would buy a new one
