Hello ladies,

Well we have had a scary few days, didn't feel very well on Wed night headache and a bit sicky, went to bed woke up with period cramps followed by tightening of the tummy. Called MW went to hospital and ended up staying for a couple of nights as I was contracting and had to have steroid injections ready to help our little bambino if I progressed into labour! I still can't believe what has happened. Luckly everything settled down and I came home Saturday, now I'm just resting and hoping with fingers and toes crossed that they don't start again. I'm back at the hospital tomorrow for checks on my glucose levels and then I will be under a consultant for 2 weekly checks.

Has anyone else gone through this? Chances are I can continue and have a normal pregnancy as at the moment nothing seems to have triggered the first lot of contractions.

xx

Poor you! I hope things stay quite on that front for at least the next 11 weeks, make sure you rest up xx

Sorry you're going through this, don't have any experience but glad that LO is staying put for the time being. I hope LO stays in there for some time too.

My cousins LO was born at just under 25 weeks gestation, he is now 7 months old and at home fully healthy. He came early due to cousin have pre-eclampsia.

xxxxx

Thank you so much ladies! I have no idea what to do, except rest and keep my legs crossed haha :) I just get frightened now it will happen again. Maria1977 I'm pleased your cousins baby is doing well, it must have been so tough for her but assures me that our baby could do well even if he/she decides to be this early! xx

It was a long journey to get him home but technology and standard of care for all newborns is outstanding. Obviously best place is in the womb as long as possible but survival rates or premmies is v high now... But defo keep them legs crossed hun lol  xx
