Contractions (Update)

Hello

Well, following my acupressure and homeopathy on Saturday I'd been having mild contractions yesterday, but they picked up pace in the night and are - though still very mild - like strong period pains, coming more frequently - every 10-15 minutes.

I also had a major show in the night which is a good sign. But there's also a small chance my hindwaters have broken - I'm hoping not as that would put me on a clock which is what happened last time and I had to be induced. So a community midwife is coming over this morning to establish whether or not my waters have broken.

I shall keep you posted, but this is pretty much what happened last time and it ended up spanning 4 nights so I doubt my baby will be making an appearance too soon, but hopefully it does mean it will all happen in the next few days.

Hi ladies

Thanks for the good wishes. I'm passing time now. Contractions died off this morning but came back stronger at around 3pm this afternoon. They are around 5 mins apart but only lasting about 25-30 seconds so not long enough to be doing much good, but painful enough for me to have started the TENS machine!! I'm really hoping I'll be holding our little bambino sometime tomorrow morning

Waters haven't broken so that was a bit of a false alarm but at least it doesn't start the 'clock' ticking as I really don't want things to go as they did last time.

So..... fingers crossed.

Sorry EllieG - am sending some of my labour vibes your way. I am fairly convinced the acupressure and homeopathy has had a hand in this though if that helps!

May write again if progress is slow otherwise will update you once I have some 'real' news!
