Contractions question!?

Does the length of each contraction get longer or shorter the further on u go? I.e. Ur first contractions last 50 seconds and the last ones last 10 seconds but there are more of them? Do I sound like a total div lol?! Xx

I can't remember either! I was induced and remember the MW telling me that they wanted me to have 4 contractions in 10 minutes. I do remember them coming on top of each other towards the end though.

I cam just remember the break between each one getting shorter and shorter.

They just come on top of each other in the end and so is harder and harder to get over one before the next hits!

I had contractions for 72 hours so I really remember them getting longer and stronger with time and coming closer together

they should be about 45-60 seconds and 3 in 5 mins i think x

Mines got longer - untill there was basically no time between them...like one big constant contraction for a while then the pushing stage. The longer your contractions are the closer you are getting!!

I only remember because I had an epidural early on because of dehydration & exhaustion and they had to give me the hormone drip to hurry things along )

Mine def got longer (altho i didnt really have many as someone was in a hurry!) and like littlemiss said no time in-between at the end. The first ones I timed were about 45 secs every 4-5 mins, then it felt like it turned into one big long one!

I remember it being like this too Pos. But I went from 5cm to 10cm in about 10 mins and had no pain relief so in the end it was one big contraction!

You know you're on your way when they're coming every 3 mins lasting about a minute! X

each contraction timing is different, I remember mine, was 7 mins then went up 12 mins then was down 8mine... so basically it goes like wavelength till you get 2- 5mins apart... thats whenthey tell you to come in.. so dont listen to them if you cant deal with (trust me) go in... make sure you keep walking round dont sit down.

Wow thats nice,,, am sure your labour was pretty straight forward luv, I went from 4 to 10 in about 2 hours or one hour not sure no pain relief either lol...I asked for it and they thought i would be inside ward for whole day...that nurse was awful
