contraception!!!!!

does anyone have the implant?(the rod thingy in ur arm) im thinking of getting this once ive had the wee man and was wanting some opinions on it if possible, ive heard tht it can cause u to either bleed constantly(so obv wudnt b advised 2 keep it) or can cause a regular period, or even stop them completely!!! i know there are no known pregnancies on it 2!!! which is gd 2 know cos i dont plan on another 1 4 a few years yet!!!any advice will be appreciated thanx xx

hi hun i had it in for 1 year and had to get it removed. Everyone is different and it just didnt agree with me at all. All you can do is try it for 6 months to give it time to get into your system then see how you go from thier. Unfortunate i was one of teh ones who bled constantly with it but good luck when you decide if you want to get it or not

does it take effect str8 away? as in workin contraception wise!!!! or will i need 2 use condoms 4 the 1st wee while(lol i know sex will b the last thing on my mind but helps 2 know these things!!)

im, pretty sure its straight away but they explaine all this to you anyway when you go tosee about it because you will see your gp then they will tell you to come back that way you have time to think about it.

It takes on average about 10 mins to fit but they make a 15 minute appointment for you just incase you have more questions and stuff
