Sex drive on the pill?!!!

Since ive been on pill i had no sex drive at all!!! but before the pill i was horney as hell!!!!! lol sorry if tmi!

Has this happened to anyone else?? is this normal??

Anyone know any other contraception that dosent affect sex drive??

Sorry such an embarrasing problem!!!

Was thinking about the implant thing in my arm as ive heard that fertility returns to normal as soon as its taken out and can stay in for up to 5 years (although will want another baby in 2 ish years time!)
Ayone else have the implant and do you recommend it??

I found that while on the pill there were was a spell straight after the menstrual bleeding stopped where I couldnt get enough of it , this last for a week but then for about 2 weeks I couldnt stand to be so much as cuddled .

I was on the mini pill.

My sex drive was almost non existant when i was on the pill and i had tryed the normal one and the mini pill. Also had the injection with was no better I have got my new pill here ready to take, one that i haven't tryed before but don't want to loose my sex drive again so keep putting it off! Lol

lol Oh what to do?!!! lol we cant win really can we?!! i wonder if it will help if i change pills? im on the normal (combined) one at the mo!
Although i dont really want to risk it and come off the pill exactly i considered the implanon till i read the side affects and found out that it can still affect you sex drive!

Oh cant their be a magic pill that works both ways!!!!! and i dont mean viagra!!!!! lol

Has anyone else had problems with one kind of pill but been ok with another??

I took the pill for about 7 years (combined) and changed brands twice but it wasn't until I came off it that I realised how badly it had affected my sex drive. Ridiculously ironic really isn't it? That said I started taking it when I was 18, had just gone to uni and had an experience with a spiltting condom that freaked us out so much that it was the best thing for us at the time and I'd do the same if I had to live my life again despite the low sex drive. I came off it when I was 25 and felt so much better but by that point we were settled and married and decided that if I did get pregnant it would be ok. We're just sticking with condoms for now as if we had an accident (and it happens to the most careful of us doesn't it?) then we'd be fine with it. Not sure what we'll do when we decide to stop having kids though- it's tricky as there's no obvious option is there?

You have EXACTLY the same problem as me!!!! I thought I was the only loonie. Well I'm already fed up with my pill (been on so my types before pegnancy that I didn't agree with and now this one too). I missed 1 accidently when I was in hospital with Damien and needless to say I am now on my bloody period (no pun intended there) so I've just stopped taking it. I'm planning on buying ovulation predictor tests to use every month to work out when I am ovulating again. I give up with the pill and anything else. Chemically induced hormones don't seem to do me any favours at all.

 

Oh, and now I've stopped taking the pill I've gained my sex drive back again - shame it's red river season

btw, I have been on the mini-pill, combined pill and depo injection and found them all doing the same thing. when I was on depo, instead of having no periods I bled constantly?!!

We're sticking to condoms near the fertile days and nothing on normal days. If I got pregnant again now we wouldn't mind either so this suits us (although we would like to avoid it for 6-12 months if possible). We would like to start TTC in a year though so I guess there is no point me going on the pill only to come off again in a few months to make sure it's out my system to TTC.

LOL great so no point switching pills i guess as they dont appear to make any difference!!!1! Its so frustrating thou isnt it?!!!! If i knew i would be totally happy getting pregnant then i would risk not being on the pill, but as im hoping to finish my nurse training this year i really cant have another baby yet for a year or so!!!
