constipated - he is not bothered.

my 10 week old has not been for a number 2 for a week now but doesnt seem bothered. He is breastfeed in day but given 6-7 ounces of bottled actimal at night. He is doing the most smelly farts which smell like chicken though. I have tried him on water to see if this makes him go but that did not work. Any ideas please? x

You could try giving him a tummy rub or a give him a bath and place a warm flannel over his tummy

BF babies i believe can go once a wk or so, Cooper goes twice a day. lol. Don't think it means hes constipated if hes ok i'd think yourself lucky! I'd speak to your HV if your worried. xx

If he isnt stressing about it dont worry as long as he is weeing. If tummy is hard or he is stressing then seek a doctor for a chip!

But you can do the following to help:

1.Give a back/side massage
2.Rub the knees
3.Put warm water on a cotton wool ball and rub over his bum, repeat a couple of times (Be careful as sometimes they can exploed!)
