constipated?

Hi,

Jack hasn't had a dirty nappy since last night.
He has seemed to be in some discomfort with his tummy today and has been 'trumping' loads.

Im thinking he might be constipated. Anyone have any tips on what to give him to help?
I tried gripe water but nothing as yet.

Does not having water make a baby constipated?

I was told that if baby is formula fed they can get dehydrated so should be offered a drink of cooled boiled water occasionally?!

braydon had not pooed for like 3 days and i was so worried he was in tears and everything i rang the HV and she sed to give him capella i think that is how u spell it aple juice with boiled water - just half oz to an oz of water, u can get it in the juice in the fridge bit of ur supermarket (hope that makes sence lol) twice a day so i did and he did a loverly one for me tonite had to thro away a vest, top and trouser lol
