Confused.com!! :/

Hi everyone (Quite a long winded post, I apologise!)

I'm in a bit of a pickle! I'm 20 years old and just started my last year at university. I'm currently single after being in a relationship for a year. Me and my ex broke up in June, and since then I hadn't really been interested in anyone else. Then 3 weeks ago, me and a guy that I've really liked for a while ended up sleeping together. I'm on the Pill, so didn't use a condom, but now I really think I'm pregnant.

I'm not the best at remembering to take my Pill, I'll admit! And I'd been on antibiotics last month for a throat infection, so I'm not sure whether the anti-biotics would cancel out the effectiveness of the Pill?

I've had the weirdest feeling in my tummy for the past 3 weeks, and the occasional twinge, which feels similar to period pains. I've been feeling exhausted, headachey, sick and close to tears for no apparent reason. (Also had loads of discharge in my knickers which I've never really had before...) I'm due a Pill break in a few days, in which time I should have a period...

Am I pregnant??? xxx

Oh, Forgot to add:
Everytime I take my pill, I get horrendous tummy pains! :/ xxx

It's a possibility I guess. You could wait and see if your period shows up - if not then test. I think I've read that antibiotics can affect the pill, but not sure to what extent.

You could be experiencing period symptoms too - you can't really be sure til you test or miss your period.

Yeah, I bought a ClearBlue digital response pack of 2 tests today from Boots and they're just sat in my handbag now. I think I'm going to wait to see if I come on and then if not, I'll test...

It wouldn't be the end of the world, I guess. It's not exactly planned, but I've got a fantastic family and a great set of friends that I know would support me no matter what happened. I guess it's just a waiting game really isn't it!

sounds like ur on the mini pill? i hated this antibiotics cancel it out an its not as strong as the other normal pill! i had my first son while on this pill! so it isnt that affective to me! but with the antibiotics thing xx
