Conception Date??????

Can someone explain how the conception date is worked out? if i have sex with a girl one time on the 27th of the month is that the conception date?

Erm you've confuzzled me yes I think so or a Few days afterwards as it depends on.when she ovulated and how long the sperm has been waiting think it can last 7 days max. Conception date can vary by a few days. Did that make any sence

im no expert on this but ill try!
The first day of a cycle is classed as the first day you( well she lol) start your period.

Depending on her cycle length she would probably ovulate 14 days later... cycle day 14.
( this is when conception would take place).

aprox 14 days after that if you dont concieve another period would take place.
(again her cycle could not be the typical 28 days so it could vary a few days)

For her to have ovulated on or around the 27th she would have started her period around the 13th of that month.

This depends weather her cycle is 28 days. it would be a few days out if she has a 32 day cycle.

Its all a bit confusing to be honest!

Conception date is not an exact science.

The egg will be fertilised (normally) within 24 hours of ovulation, yet implantation does not take place until after 7dpo.

The only way you'll truly know is at your 12 week dating scan!
