Conceiving after taking Cerazette?

Hi ladies,

I hope this is the right section! I think it is because technically I am waiting to try, although it is only because my OH is still offshore.

We want to start TTC in a couple of weeks when he comes home, so I came of the pill (Cerazette) 6 weeks ago in the hope of having at least one period before he gets back.

I had only been on Cerazette for 5 months, and it didn't stop my periods, but I still haven't anything since coming off it. Not even slight cramps.

I've taken two pregnancy tests which have both been negative, just in case, but this has been a long offshore trip for OH, 10 weeks by the time he gets home, so no chance of me being pregnant.

Has anybody else experienced this with this pill? I found it fine when I was on it, not as good as Microgynon, but I was having migraines with aura on it so couldn't take it anymore...

I'm just worried it's going to take me a longer time than I thought...

When I conceived my LO, I didn't really think about due dates, and ended up having a bad pregnancy through the summer and then Caleb was due just after the October heatwave, so I would like my next LO before June... So that means falling pregnant in Set/Oct latest.

I just wanted to know if anyone else has been through the same? I've been really put off this pill now and think after my next baby I'll look at a different form of contraception if I can't take the combined pill...

Will be interested to hear what people say as I am also on Cerazette as I was breastfeeding my son so was limited with which pill I could take. I was on Microgynon before having Max. I've been fine on Cerazette but to be honest I preferred Microgynon and think I might switch back to that now I'm no longer feeding and not planning to ttc until early next year. I find I have periods on Cerazette but they are really heavily and last for ages whereas on Microgynon I came on for like 3 days and it was fairly light. Hope af shows soon for you xx

I was on Cerazette and am still breastfeeding. I had stopped Cerazette for about 6 weeks or a little more before AF came back and it was my first since having Tilly. Am now on first proper cycle and TTC, but no idea if they will be regular, so just taking things easy until I know what my cycles are like. Actually on my first TWW, but we aren't 'trying' too hard yet, so not expecting to be pg yet. I didn't have any AF on Cerazette. I used to be on Microgynon and it was fine xxx

I was on Cerazette for about 18 months, doctor said it could take up to 6 months just to get my periods regular again. When I came off of it last June I had my first bleed 4 weeks later, and then I was pretty regular give or take a few days until I fell pregnant in December. xx
