Cold Turkey

Well I could single handedly kill someone. Not had a fag for 24 hours now and stress levels are orbital!

Rang local stop smoking support group and they told me they would refer me through my midwife. Not got my first appointment for a week yet so I may well be inside by then for doing in the first person who looks at me funny!

Hiya Meezie you are doing GREAT just try to remember why you are doing this, there isn't a better reason so all the stress will be worth it.

Hi Meezie,

You have done the hardest bit already. Don't give up now. If you've gone a whole day without smoking, then that proves you don't really need it. If you can do 1 day, then you can do the next day too

I haven't had a ciggie now for 1 week and 1 day. The cravings got A LOT less after about 2-3 days. And just think how lovely and healthy you and your baby will be.

Day 2 is going ok. OH is finding it harder though as he is doing it with me. I keep telling myself it only took 24 hours for the carbon monoxide to leave my body, so little bean is developing better already

wow congrats. i dont think i could go cold turkey.

im trying to cut down. but im finding it really difficult.

but i know it is for the best, so im going to keep going

Congratulations!!!! You're doing great. I know how hard it is, I quit cold turkey when I found out I was pregnant and I haven't had a cigarette for nearly 4 months now. It feels great!!!

Hey hows it going? I found it difficult to quit this time and i admit i had the odd puff til i was 8 weeks but once the first couple of weeks are gone, its a lot easier. Expect to want to slap everyone in sight for the next few days!! But keep thinking of that little one trying to grow inside you, that will soon put you off xx
