Im having a coil fitted on Wednesday, is there any advice you can give.

Just relax with it hun. It's a little uncomfortable and you'll feel period like cramps when it gets inserted. It's like a smear but takes a little longer. Be kind to yourself afterwards, have a nice bath or something x

Take some paracetamol before you go to the doctors, it should take the edge off the cramps after it's been inserted. Also relax whilst it's being done, the more you tense up the more uncomfortable it will be.
