I have never dared co sleep with Harry so far but he loves to get in bed with us and I find it really hard going to stay awake with him so I was wondering what the rules and regulations are to ensure it is safe so I can give it a try. :D

When we have Galen in with us he goes on my side and I go in the middle with OH on the far side. He is always in his sleeping bag and never goes under the duvet. I make sure that is down past my waist and tucked in. Have him about boob height away from pillows and so I can feed him if he wakes.

I also make sure I keep a clear space around him and that if I do lean forward toward him I'm still far enough away he has room. I tend to not move at all in bed since being PG and move even less now LO is here.

I personally don't like co sleeping on a regular basis. I only do it when he is restless or if he wakes for a 6am feed and is wide awake. He likes to talk to me and then drift off back to sleep.

I probably break a few rules with co-sleeping tbh.

She only sleeps with me if she gets up in the night so i haqve a long period of sleep to move as much as i want then the rest of the morning to sleep with her.

I lie her where i sleep, with space at the side of the bed, i usually put her blanket over her and my duvet on me, it slightly overlaps at her feet but i dont usually cover her, i'll feed her and usually i fall asleep with her.

Last night i kinda broke the rules and i just snuggled up with her in my duvet with me but i made sure it wasnt up past her belly. I also rolled on to me back when she was asleep and moved away from her which i dont normally do, we usually snuggle but she seemes restless so i wanted to give her as much space as possible so she wasnt disturbed. My mum always comes up to wake us on a sunday and we're always snuggled up together.

I love it tbh and although i wouldnt have her in my bed from the off i enjoy taking her in with me during the night, it also means i get to sleep well.

I've never forgotten shes there and in fact i wake up wondering where she is sometimes when shes in her moses.

FWIW i never intended to co-sleep either, in fact i was quite against it until it came naturally

We still do some co-sleeping and we stick to the no smoking or drinking mostly but our wee man is 7 1/2 months now. xxx

I love co-sleeping, I've done it with all of mine.
I put Riley in his crib next to the bed to start, then when he wakes for the first time I breastfeed him in bed and we both fall asleep.
At the moment he just has his sleepsuit and a thin blanket, before that he had a grobag while it was colder.

I keep him to the side of the bed, with the crib pushed up to the bed so there is no gap, and I'm just careful not to put the duvet on him.
