What do you do regarding changing boobs as it were. Green Bean had a bad night last night - I saw every hour from 11pm to 9am, most twice.
I'm trying to dream feed him alot of the time and don't change him unless it's leaking out of the sides   Anyway, what wakes him up is me moving him from one side of me to the other so I can feed him from the next boob.
Plus, feeding him when he is inbetween us is painful on my back as the duvet folds under my rib meaning I'm lying all twisted and awkward

What do you do? I can't have him under the duvet in between us as DH is a sound sleeper and I don't trust him

that'll teach me not to pay attention - I've put this in the wrong section :wall:

I used to lean over DS, I can't really explain it very well. But if I lay almost flat on my stomach, propped my arms under my head to lift the top of my body and turned slightly then DS could feed off of the opposite side to which he was laying.
Sounds complicated but was really comfy

We're lucky and Ellie usually only wakes up once so its not a problem but if shes been poorly or feeding lots then hubby usually sleeps on the settee so that Ellie can lie in the middle of the bed and i can move from one side to the other if that makes sense?

hmmmm...I don't often change boobs although lil miss has been an aggressive feeder recently and I've had to change because she sucks one dry. I cradle lil miss in the crook of my arm if I'm on DH side... and when changing sides I get up, slide lil miss over and stick the boob in. I also get lil miss to sleep chest to chest cos she sleeps so badly.

DH and I also have separate duvets because of the whole blanket/baby issue... so that solves that.... :rotfl: :rotfl:

I dont really cosleep but sometimes in the early mornings I bring her in bed with us for a feed and doze till its morning, like you I dont totally trust OH to remember sjhe is there when he is half asleep, so I have found I can kind of lean over slightly like Kina said, half on my front, with a bit of shuffling you can get comfy and LO latches on just as well. :)

oh, and my boobs are not exactly petite and its still comfy as long as they arent engorged

hope you find a way that suits you all x

Glad I'm not the only one who's done the lean and dangle :rotfl:

I just used to feed either side and always had Isaac under duveet so never had a problem, and OH is a dead-to-the-world sleeper too, I felt Isaac was fine as he was always cradled around my arm in some fashion. Really hope you get it sorted so it works for everyone  Have you thought about sleeping under a sheet on top of the duvet with LO? That way he's not under duvet with Daddy but will be easier for you both, and keep you warm

I change sides at least once a night, sometimes twice. I just slide him across the bed. He tends to not wake up.

teds sleeps on top of a fleece blanket so i slide him.. although anotehr usefull idea is to turn your bed so its against a wall and you sleep width ways and tie the cot with no cot side on it to the end of the bed and have a super king size bed and swap sides urself

:rotfl:
DH has already said he's not leaving the bed

Tried the "l;ean and dangle" technique, problem is, I'm not themost well endowed woman so there wasn't a lot of dangling
We did manasge it, although Green Bean did freak out a bit when he saw me leaning over him  was quite uncomfortable but I might work at it :D

Thanks for all the advice, going to dig out our sheet and sleep on top of the duvet with him tonight, see if that's easier :)
