Just had a lecture from mine who, in his wisdom (bearing in mind this is the person who wants to know nothing about ovulation, charting etc so has no idea what he is talking about) has told me the following:

1) I was setting myself up for a fall testing early and should know better
2)That next time I should wait until I am 2 weeks late before I test to avoid disappointment

Now, while all this came from the right place (he doesn't like seeing me upset) he clearly has no idea. I tried to explain that when you have loads of symptoms it's really hard to wait - and that 2 weeks late isn't necesasry as most tests will show up after a couple of days not a couple of weeks!

I used the analogy of having an envelope with really important exam results in on your mantlepiece but being told you can't open it for a fortnight!

MEN .......what else can I say?

I don't know whether it's all men or just mine!

He is one of these who talks like he is an expert on things he actually knows nothing about!

I personally say that it is not just yours it is all men! but I have been working all day with a pr*t of a 'man' all day

yep my man is a mr know it all too! my OH tried making me wait another week after AF didnt show last time...yeh right!!! bless them, they really dont have a clue.....

I must admit, mines not too bad. But he does like caneing me for the 'physic readings' & the old wifes tales.... spoon under the bed, pillow facing west blah blah

bless him, I don't think men realise half the stuff our bodies go through each cycle. Men only need to do one thing to try and conceive a baby, girlies bodies do soo much more.

My BF is the same... he thinks temping/charting is a waste of time, but is quite happy for follow my lead when i tell him its time to bd! he pretends he doesnt want to know im sure!

so true so true!

i was informed yesterday by mine that i must be preggers "if being annoying is a symptom" in asda ause i couldn't decide what i wanted for dinner cause i felt sick and wasn't really wanting anything! how rude!!

MEN!! he also told me i must be preggers because I'm not usually this fat a few months ago - turns out I'm just fat! he was very sorry he'd said that! :rotfl:

my OH is like that, always telling me to wait at least a week before i test, and he doesnt want to know anything other then when to BD, drives me bonkers sometimes

You guys are all soooo funny!! My dh is just the same. he'd rather not know when I'm Ovulating, in fact i dont think he really understands much about it!!! He also says he doesnt want to know if i'm just jumping on him for sex cos its the 'right time of the month' either!!!

These are so funny to read because my OH is exactly the same ... he's always telling me not to test early, just wait a couple of weeks, because i'll find out eventually anyway, and knowing now rather than next week won't make any difference!

I know that lol! But still it's not the point! :wall: :wall: They don't understand!!

my husband tells me not to test untill af is 2 weeks late as i'd "just get excited again for reason" even thoght i've only been more than 2 days late in neary 3 years.

I must have the exception to the bloke rule... not only has he been looking at my ovulation charts with me (and had already worked out my most fertile days before I had) he dashed out to Sainsburys to buy me some tests tonight! That and he had run out of munchies! :rotfl:

My DH is a bit the other way... we used to finish BDing and he used to ask if I thought I was pregnant, and if I did a test there and then would it come up positive :wall: :wall:
