Since getting pregnant I see pretty dresses.

I looove dresses! finally got to the point where I am confident enough to wear them and nowwwww I'm growing a bumpster and none are gonna fit....I am hopeing this one might still fit though because I am in love with it and I would love to wear it too my sisters wedding. I think it looks quite loose around the tummy area but its just soooooo beautiful!!!!!!!!!!

What do you recon...is everyone else perving over all the pretty things they cant wear anymore?

That's lovely, when is your sister's wedding?

I'm loving not wanting to buy clothes at the moment, we have a Next near work with a very small maternity range and I'm not tempted anymore! :)

Her wedding is august Im gonna be hooooooge! Grrrr the website its on isnt letting me buy it anyway it wont add it to the basket so I might not be getting it :wall: But its soooo pretty!

That is really pretty and yes I have clothes envy too. The maternity range in mothercare seems quite expensive for a few months wear so I'm slowly coming round to the fact that soon I'm just going to look trampy in jogging bottoms and i'm not a huge fan of jogging bottoms as I prefer bootleg jeans and tightish tops for the summer. I never really bother in winter as I hate putting layers of clothes on but usually love summer.

argh tell me about it! we went to bluewater, our big shopping center and i was absolutely gutted! there were so many beauitiful summer clothes, from urban outfitters, bench fat face :( damn its official

Clothes ARE the new porn!

 I keep seeing lovely clothes and knowing I can't get them bums me out!! However I was in Asda last night and saw a lovely stretchy summer dress. They had it in my size and it would stretch lovely while bump grows so I bought it. At £9 it was a bargain. I might buy another one at the weekend in another colour. It is the only joy in my life right now!

yeah i wnet into Monsoon to returm some shoes this week and drooled all over their clothes. Dmn them fro not doing some maternity clothes, but LO is due 10 days before the August sales starts so could be very good timeing.

that dress is lush, must admit, pregnancy has sort of taken the shine out of clothes shopping, esp when theres a tiny section for you to choose from.

I'd seriously wait until a few weeks before the wedding, you'll be quite advanced by then and will have no idea what bump/boobies/bum combo will be like.

Chick, i know exactly what you mean about the dresses its like everytime i walk into river island or topshop all i see are beautiful summer dresses staring at me and i like to be all girly and pretty through the summer, Oh no not this time its baggy combats/shorts and vest tops.

I get depressed just looking now, so i stay away, don't even take a peek online anymore.

I tried on dresses like that at around 23 weeks, they still fitted but not around my boobs lol, they fitted the bumo as well which was lovely.

I got all my maternity trousers from new look, and i have a new pair of combat trousers which are a normal size 10 and fit lovely under the bump, so im hoping i can get some linen trousers the same way.

I HATE tops atm, even my longest t-shirts are starting to flash her a little (i like to hide my belly, even though i think it looks good i hate others seeing it)

Oh and i love all the floral dresses that are in fashion atm, but its too cold to wear them atm river island had some lovely ones (bit pricey maybe though) new look has a sale on with a few nice dresses in, and TK Maxx has loads in and they're around £18 for the dress (i'm gonna start asking to be paid for all the advertising i do for that place!!!) depends which stores you go in to though on whether you'll ge the nice things, the one i work in has nothing (literally) yet i went in to town in there and it was full of gorgeous summer stuff and baby stuff too.

I've gone from being the high heel queen (I have 43 pairs of shoes and only 4 pairs are flat!) to wearing either flip flops or trainers....

and CLOTHES!?! I only got big enough to warrant maternity wear in the last 3/4 weeks so I begrudge buying it! I pretty much live in baggy t-shirts and OHs trackie bottoms! I have a pair of mat jeans I found in New Look for £12 which I wear if I'm going out somewhere more exciting than tesco! My way of thinking is I look so awful at the moment that after I have the baby people will think "WOW she looks good!" :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I definately couldn't be dealing with dressing up for a wedding!

Unless you have baby early I seriously doubt the dress will fit you at your sister's wedding.

I've saved a fortune through not buying much in the way of clothes while pregnant - I hadn't appreciated quite how much I used to spend! Between clothes, shoes, bags and accessories I was spending hundreds every month. Now by being a blimp who can't use these things ( apart from jewellery but OH bought me lots of lovely jewellery for being fat and grumpy, or as he put it "being pregnant and doing lots of work growing baby" :D ) I have saved a lot of money which means I can stay off work for a couple of months longer than I was intending :cheer:  :cheer: So there is a silver lining :D

I would say the best clothes you could buy now would be maternity pajamas. I love mine! Not that pretty or sexy but so comfy :D

On the subject of clothes, why is it that it seems stores think pregnant women only want to wear short-sleeved tops? I am sitting FREEZING in my office half of the time because I still haven't found a suitable cardigan for the office. I am borrowing my mother's right now, but I look funny because it fits around my belly but is also big around my shoulders and arms. I like to look NEAT and I am turning into a dishevelved mess! D:

oo that dress is gorgeous. i havent reached that stage yet tho, mayb when the weathers nicer!

This is totally annoying me right now, with the extra boob and belly none of my jumpers fit right they all ride up and flash my stomach making me cold but have looked every where for long jumpers maternity or just ones I can buy in a bigger size in normal and nothing! :wall: I know its the time of year shops are all stocking spring/summer stuff right now but im bloody cold!!

Dont get me started on jumpers!!!

i get ready for work, put on a really pretty oufit that shows off bump wonderuflly, then end up with a horrible jumper, or one that rides right the way up, none fit properly, and most wont even do up anymore!!

I feel so yucky in work now, i jsut wish it would get warmer so i woudlnt need 2 jumpers each day plus ling sleeved top and vest!!!

Beautiful dress nicki :D

I thought I was just going to live in my normal clothes for a bit but have put on so much overall weight that I've had to pretty much buy a whole new wardrobe :( Well in that I've bought two pairs of next maternity jeans and one pair of maternity linen trousers for work. I long to be a size 10/12 again instead of a 14! In terms of jumpers I am living in OHs hooded tops which is hiding my bump well and have bought bigger tops off ebay for cheapness.

I still feel too self-concious to show off my bump properly, I'm also worried random strangers might grope my bump :?

That dress looks lovely and fairly bump-friendly :D

I know just how you feel though, the shops seem to be FULL of pretty summer dresses with waistbands at the moment grrrr - I'm going to a :D wedding about 6 weeks after due date so am planning to treat myself to the most gorgeous one I can find in the summer sales xx

Lovin that dress Niki

I brought a red prom dress from primark for my sisters wedding, fully lined, netting in the skirt and bones in the top for £16!, plenty of room for growing bumpage the only thing I would say is if you gets huge your hem may get a little wonky.

I need bag and shoes now
