Closer to your mum since birth of baby?

Hi,

i was wondering if anyone is closer to their ow mum since having their baby? Me and my mum weren't really close since i was a teenager but since breaking my ankle and having H i feel so close to her and only seem to feel totally comfortable with her and my OH with baby!!! Has this happened to anyone else?

my mum and I have never been close, but we're definately closer now! we used to go weeks without talking, but now we talk a few times a week and i go round a couple of times a week too!

I have never been close to my mum and that didn't change after having children. The thing that did change our relationship was me moving to the north east! Now we speak at least once a week.
