Clomid

Hi guys, so me and my partner have been ttc for 5 years, I finally got referred to a fertility specialist back in feb 2018. I had my first round of clomid back in September 2018 and found out I was pregnant in October, unfortunately I had a misscarriage at 6 weeks which really took its tole on both me and my partner.

So 7 weeks passed and I still didn’t get my period, this was my original issue as I had such irregular periods before that I maybe only ovulated naturally once or twice a year. So my dr gave me a prescription to ‘jump start’ my period, AF arrived late afternoon yesterday approx 16:30 and it was bright red blood, I don’t spot at the beginning of AF (sorry TMI), I’m supposed to take 100mg Clomid day 2-6 of my cycle. My question is should I class last night as the first day of my period or today? Sorry for the long winded essay but I really don’t want to mess this up, and I can’t call the clinic for advice as they aren’t open!

As far as I know bright red blood is CD1. I always classed it as this. I wouldn’t worry because chlomid can actually be prescribed from day 3 anyway so shouldn’t change that much even if it’s not day 1.

All my pregnancies have been from clomid and I get told different things!
My advice this time round was to class my first FULL day of bleeding as cd1. It was successful for me!
Also consider using pre seed lubrication whilst on clomid as it can make it thick and not fertility friendly inside!

Ive taken clomid lots, and had a whole range of experiences on it, so if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
Also I wouod recommend taking in the evening before bed as the side effects can be pretty rubbish and this way you sleep through the worst of it. Good luck! It has been my miracle drug!

Thank you! This is my third round of clomid and I’ve had crappy side effects with it before I MC, hot flushes were the worst! I ended up classing the following day as day one and I’ve been using my fertility monitor which detected that I’m at high fertility atm so fingers crossed this month it happens and the little baba sticks!

I bought conceive plus lubricant as I’d read really good reviews on it, I think this helped us with getting pregnant just before Christmas.

It’s be nice to know I’m not alone in all this xx
