Hi ladies,
I am soooo frustrated today, I just want to cry! So, I ordered clear blue opk (with showing 2 most fertile days of the cycle) this month for the first time. I received them yesterday (cd10) and straight away tested. I was surprised to see solid smiley as I didn't have any ewcm or cramps etc. We dtd the previous day on cd9 but obviously I wanted to dtd that evening too cause of my solid smiley! However OH wasn't feeling well at all and we didnt bd!!!!! :((( This morning (cd11) I did the test and again solid smiley. I am sitting at the office right now feeling cramps and I am just so so upset that I missed the chance and I am ovulating right this moment!!! :[
What are your experiences with Clear blue? How many solid smileys did you have and when did you actually ovulate? I need some hope...... Xx

Hi Zeni,
Are they the ones that show a solid circle, a flashing smiley and a static smiley? Or are you using a different one? If so I haven’t heard of these ones.
The ones I use you only get one solid smiley and you can’t test again for 48 hours and when I get the solid smiley I normally ovulate 24 hours after.
I know it’s frustrating but you did DTD on cd9 so there is a chance that you will have some swimmers up there waiting. Is there any chance you can DTD tonight? X

Hi Char! I attached a pic of which one I used...
First of all I thought first ever test would always be negative cause the test gets used to your baseline or something... and my tests both were solid smileys... I will dtd tonight but I am just so sure I missed the chance, I can feel like I'm ovulating at this very moment and later will be too late :(

I don't know much about those ones hun as i use the advanced ones but i know its easier said than don't try not to panic. I am wondering maybe you started using them to far into the cycle and should have started them earlier??

You :bd: on CD9 so there will be swimmers up there and i think even though you might be ovulating right now most definitely DTD tonight so you know you did try as hard as you could. x

I think those tests don't have flashing smileys and go straight to solid ones.. I am just confused cause I have no cm at all! There is no way the spermies are still up there in this conditions ... eh... I guess I will just hope for the best and bd tonight...
Thanks Char xxx

Sending you lot of dust Zeni <3 x

I use the advanced ones and the first test is always negative to set your hormone levels. Once it hits solid smiley it will be solid for 48 hours. Then you can't test until the next cycle starts otherwise you'll mess up your nxt cycle testing. I don't know if these are the same. Have you read the instructions thoroughly? Are you using a new test stick this cycle?

Creamy CM is still fertile.

Hi Sunflower, I am using normal digital opk, not advanced one. I thought the first test would show negative but it was solid smiley.. I just ordered it so yes it's brand new. I don't think I should test next 48 hours as the smiley face wasnt there anymore..
And also, I am completely dry! not even creamy cm :/

It could be faulty. There's no way it can accurately detect a solid smiley hormone level without first setting to your baseline hormone levels as far as I know. If next time you test it goes back to negative then maybe it will reset correctly. I would call the helpline number on the box and tell them what happened. I had a faulty one and they sent a new kit.
