Cleansing the depo

Hi, i've been off the depo injection for just over 7 months now and not had one period. I've had blood tests and an ultrasound done and nothings wrong. Therefore I believe it's just the dreaded depo not leaving my system.

I read online somewhere that the "Master Cleanse" (http://themastercleanse.org/) can help get it out of your system. Has anyone tried this?

Hey Hun how long was you on the depo? I was on it for about 5-6 years and it took a round 2-3 years to fully get my cycles back on track, I don't want to worry you with that as every one is different and apparently I shouldn't of been on the depo for as long as that, what the gp and nurse didn't tell me till after that it can take a long time for it to leave your system and get back to normal and that it wouldn't happen straight away when trying for a baby I was soooo mad as I wouldn't of gone on it if I new that! I was the same it took months for my period to show and then when I did I wouldn't have one for 2- 3 months so I thought ooo am I pregnant? I had scans to check everything was ok and it was it's just the effect of the depo xx

Hiya, Oh god yeah I think I was on it probably a similar amount of time! Yeah they didn't tell me either. I went on it quite young so fair enough not mentioning pregnancy then however when you go back for your top up injections they should remind you every so often of it! I'm liver detoxing vitamins as i've been told they help but all they're doing is making me pee lots!
