Cleaning the soap dispenser drawer on washing machine

Anyone got any tips for cleaning around the soap dispenser drawer (where the drawer slots into). I just can't get it right. I've used calgon powder for in the washing machine which tbh I find a waste of money - It's pants

I just use fairy liquid hun and a bottle brush to scrub it out x

I take mine out and soak it in Hot water and then get a sponge with a scourer on other side and scrub, but mine is really dirty due to the bloke that had it before didnt know what cleaning the washing machine meant lol x

Boiling water but mines forever getting clogged so I use the drum now

I used to use a sponge with soapy water but now use an old toothbrush

run the hottest wash u can on an empty cycle with no detergent, stops the clogging a treat

I can't find anything that reaces to the back of where the drawer sits well enough to reach and clean. Piddles me off!

Does the drawer pull out? If so run it through the dishwasher
