ok its my due date today so ill have my little one soon fx

i told my mum yesterday not to buy him anything for xmas as he wont know anything about it, she was horrified!!!

i told her apart from a few clothes that ill probably need im not buying him anything and relatives will already of bought for him when hes born, what could he want or need??

xmas is so expensive these days i think its daft.

will you be buying for LO

I have said the same to folk as well. I have bought a few little things for him and plan on getting him a baby gym from santa. My 9 year old still believes in santa so it would be weird if the baby didnt get presents from santa. I also told my friend not to buy anything for baby cause she has already bought him a bouncy chair and i know she'll go mad on clothes but she was horrified i would even suggest this too.

i think its common sense x baby will only be a month old and wont know whats going on x my other kids are 15 and 16 so the santa thing doesnt apply lol x x x

i agree, just gonna do a wee stocking for the baby with some rattles etc and the 3 wee presents i have bought and the baby gym and thats it. I know he will get spoiled rotten by the rest of the family no matter what i say x

I've bought a teddy with "My first christmas 2011" on it. Although i know that baby is only going to be a couple of weeks old i'm still going to wrap it and put it under the tree!!lol. Will prob just take a pic of the 3 of us together one of us holding lo and the other opening his first xmas pressie!! That's all i'm getting him tho, in the way of xmas pressies!

My mum and gran have gotten Lilli a present and wrapped it! I doubt we will bother, especially with her due date being after christmas! I told my mum and gran not to bother as I thought it was a waste of time, but got a huge b*llocking! So now they can do as they please lol............... I must admit I love all the babies first christmas stuff that's out! If she did put in an early arrival, I think I would be tempted!! X x

Both mine and OHs family have said that they won't be buying LO christmas presents because of my DD. We've brought a Teddy from Hamleys (not a first christmas one) and I will be wrapping that up if LO decides to put an appearance in early if not then it will just be a present from us when we come home. x x x

Ive bought a little reindeer teddy from mamas and papas and a little finger puppet book for newborns which is old macdonald. Also got a my first xmas stocking... fx I dont go over due lol.

The only other pressies LO will get for xmas will be off my sis and parents and tbh they will prob just use a couple of bits they will have bought for when baby is born

I saw in a shop near me the other day some baubles with babys first written on them and I thought they were quite cute if you do the whole decorating the tree with family orientated stuff on it like we do rather than for how it looks :). I have to admit I'm quite glad LO isn't coming till after Christmas as then we can see her experience her first Christmas a lot more next year.
It's a difficult one but I think if I was having to I would just get a little outfit and then take pictures to go in the album

We have brought a few little toys and know family r buying fir her tried to say don't go mad but mil made the point that she isn't going to have many toys brought her as her birthday isn't for nearly a yr ! Will Also buy few clothes in 3-6 mth as most of her stuff is newborn or 0-3 as she is so small !! Also our other 2 r still little and may find it strange if Rhea doesn't get presents !! Xxx
