im debating on a christening suit or a traditional gown for harry's christeningin a few weeks time? what are you ladies having if ur having ur LO's christened?

DS wore a traditional gown-unfortunately we have no photos :(

We are letting Albert choose whether he wants to be christened or not but if we were doing it as a baby and had a gown as an heirloom I'd definitely use that, if not I would buy him a very posh little outfit. My sister got my nephew's suit from France and it was gorgeous (our family is crap at heirlooms lol)

I would say a suit hun , I dont like the gowns on boys . X

I've actually got a christening outfit for a boy for sale as it got bought for us but were letting him decide when he's bigger. If your interested I can send pics. It's a 6 piece set Bnib it's lovely but just sitting there doing nothing!

If it was a family heirloom I'd say gown, if you're going to buy it I'd say suit!

Leandro was a male diva and had 2. He had a gown for church and a little tux at home (took Of the jacket though) then after a few hours normal clothes people left quite late and he was getting cranky xx

We're having the gown his daddy and grandad wore; but I'd choose a gown over a suit even if it weren't a family heirloom.

Well traditionally the skirt of your wedding dress should be made into the christening gown....suit it is then cos we aint married lol

If we were getting Emily christened, then I would choose a gown.

I wanted a gown but dh doesn't like them on boys :(
I've seen this and may be buying it
I've also had a pure silk blanket embroidered with his initials to use on the day. It's stunning
