christening donations, how much?

We are having Holly christened and i know the service doesn't cost anything as such but that you make a donation to the church. Our priest said it is what you can afford to give so just wondering what anyone donated cos I don't really know what we should donate. Thanks for your help, off to make the cake now!

We popped twenty eoro in the envelope but our church is a small one that relies on donations . Put whatever you van justify in even it it's something small . Hope it's a wonderful day x

We put 30 quid in and it was shared christening with 3 other babies x

In ireland 50 euro is the average so id say 30 pounds is probably about right, but then it is donation so can be what u can aforde x
