Just had my 1/2 year review with boss (which went great so really pleased). Was going to take the opportunity to tell him my great news and bottled out. I am still worried its a little too soon and maybe I should just wait till i have my scan. I am sure he will be really pleased for me but also very gutted that I am going.

Have any of you told work yet?

When is the legal time limit by which you have to tell work? I'm gonna leave it till the last possible minute I think because I'll just get dumped on a checkout all day and that will bore me to tears. It's dull enough being customer service and checkout supervisor! :x
I'm hoping I'll have a new job by then anyway

I dont think I have to tell them for ages yet, not till 25 weeks or something. I had thought that if I was suffering with MS I would tell them sooner rather then later cause I work in London and have to get the train and underground to work which would cause me problems if I was being ill. So far so good and I am not feeling too bad.

I have next appointment in 3 weeks so will have to have the afternoon off for a "Doctors" appointment but they cant ask what its for.

told my boss at 6 weeks, but we have a fab relationship and I class him as a friend

Yeah I think legally you have to tell work by 25 weeks, I'm sure that's when you gotta get your MATB1 form in (I think). I had my review last week and work knows I'm trying but I haven't told them yet.
Good luck when you do tell them

I think I will tell my boss in strictest confidence & not to blab to any of the other partners when I'm back from my holiday in mid Sept by which time I'll be 10 weeksish. I think I'll be the first pregnant partner they've ever had so that will be a shock for all the old fuddy duddies :rotfl: :rotfl:

I was only promoted 1 June and feel quite bad  I did make it clear that I wnated to have children before the promotion and asked what maternity provisions are for partners but I wasn't expecting it be this soon

CB23 I think you are really good to have informed them that you even want to start trying for a family, sounds like you all have a very good working relationship.
