Chewing on bottom lip?

Hi All,

Just wondered if anyone elses baby does this? Libby sucks & chews on her bottom lip, I have been putting a little bit of vaseline on it as I am paranoid it is going to get chapped & hurt her - obviously the vaseline soon gets munched off!

Has anyone elses baby done/ is anyones baby doing this?

Does it mean anything, or is it just one of those things.......I'm sure there's nothing can be done about it....but its not like its only when she's hungry or anything......it all the time!

my cousin (who is 27) sucks his bottom lip when he is tired he always has, he does it like I sucked my thumb, I think it is just a comfort!

Annabelle did it with her top for a long time, then her bottom for a few weeks, but now not so much. Dont put vaseline on her lips btw. Vaseline prevents the lips createing their own moisture, then you end up using it because they are dry, when really its making them dry (trust me i am now a vaseline addict and wish i wasnt!). if you want to put something on her lip something like blisteese(sp?) would be better as it puts moisture into the lip almost like moisturiser on skin

Oooh, thanks for that - I never knew that about vaseline, I'll pick up some Blisteese this afternoon & try that...it has started to look a bit dry.

Nice name by the way were you born in the 80's too?

Brody sucks on his bottom lip whenever he's getting a bit of teething pain! Does Libby dribble lots while she's doing it? We've had floods here tonight!

lol i have come accross my fair share of Emma-Louises too hehe. Thats why I want to make sure all my kids dont have common as much names lol. *pushes fwd Miss Annabelle, Brigid* lol

Lil'Em - I'm with you on that, thats why I have a Libby, I don't want her to be at school with everyone having the same name either
